By Car
Kingsbarns is located in the East Neuk of Fife, about 6.5 miles southeast of St Andrews and 3.6 miles north of Crail. From St Andrews, take the A917 road south towards Crail, and follow the signs to Kingsbarns. The village is well-connected by the local road network and offers easy access for visitors.
By Train

While Kingsbarns doesn’t have its own train station, you can catch a train to Leuchars Station (about 7 miles from Kingsbarns), which is the closest station. From there, you can take a bus or a short taxi ride to the village.

Kingsbarns is easily accessible, making it a great destination to explore the beauty of Fife.

By Bus

You can easily reach Crail and other East Neuk villages by bus. The Stagecoach 95 service offers regular connections between all the towns and villages in the area, including Pittenweem. It’s a convenient and scenic way to explore the region!

Kingsbarns distillery 

Conveniently located close to St Andrews, the home of golf, in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife, our whisky distillery sits in a charming 18th century converted farm steading and features whisky distillery tours, tastings, a shop and cafe with an outdoor seating area. 

Cambo gardens

Cambo’s 2.5 acre walled garden dates from the 1800’s and our visitors keep describing it as ‘stunning’! We endeavour to create areas of year round interest and the garden is constantly changing, developing and innovating through the passions of our horticulture team.  From early interest in our winter gardens (highlighting our Plant Heritage national collection of snowdrops) through to our late season naturalistic plantings and prairie garden (unique in Scotland!) there is always a reason to visit Cambo.

Pittenweem is one of the picturesque stops along the Fife Coastal Path, a scenic long-distance trail that winds through Fife. The section of the path near Pittenweem is particularly beautiful, offering stunning coastal views and peaceful walks.

This sandy beach, known locally as Kingsbarns Beach or Cambo Sands, stretches for 2 miles and is backed by extensive sand dune systems. It is an ideal area to relax and take in the beautiful coastal vistas. Kingsbarns is home to the famous Cheesy Toast Shack a definite culinary highlight. A short distance along from the beach is Cambo Estate, with its beautiful walks and stunning gardens.
